Will Crisco last longer if refrigerated?

Crisco's website recommends not refrigerating Crisco but to keep in at room temperature. I don't mind the hardness factor or the more cloudy factor....I just want to keep the Crisco from getting rancid as long as possible. Will refrigeration help the Crisco last longer so it doesn't go rancid?
