What does this weird dream mean?

my dream-I was walking down all these corridors in a hospita(they looked almost like the ones where I work but they were neverending)l but couldn't seem to get to where I wanted to be.then all of a sudden,I suddenly appeared in a big deep muddy pit that had lots of rubbish in it.while I was searching through the pit,I came across a cardboard box full of murky rubbish that I had the urge to search through. I stuck my hands in&started rummaging through the box. next thing thing that happened was when I pulled my hands out,my hands were caked in mud but I also had a load of little metal shards welded to the skin of my fingers(it was two specific fingers,my index&middle fingers on both hands).I started to rather painfully pull these shards off my fingers but wasnt having much luck. I then all of a sudden just appeared in a bathroom&started trying to scrub the mud off my hands.the mud wouldn't budge but the metal shards started to come off when I started pulling at them then I woke up. i felt confused&distressed when I woke up.does anyone know what this dream means?no nasty comments please.
