Why are we such cowards here in the Philippines?

You are so right, whats happening right now will just be a clic example of history repeating itself. I'm not old enough to remember, but my folks are moral enough to tell me about the horrors of Marcos and the Martial Law. How GMA's government is treating the press and its political enemies, extra judicial killings, the rice shortage, and the impending take over of privately owned Meralco and ABS-CBN were the same precursors before FM declared martial law. I wouldn't be surprised if no elections will take place in 2010, and Queen Gloria will be reigning for as long as she wants, maybe even longer than Marcos did.
