How to make homemade teriyaki sauce without soy souce?

I have cornstarch, cider vinegar, ground ginger, ground pepper and a few other ingridients but i have no soy sauce! is there anything i can use to help subsitute the soy sauce, or do you think it'll taste ok without the soy sauce?
