A one-off mini moke, what should I ask for it ?
A lot of these restoration projects start off as a labour of love and often end up breaking the bank. The mini moke was never very popular only about 14,000 were made in Britain and most of those went abroad. It was intended by it's creator Sir Alec Issigonis as an off road utility vehicle but it's low slung body and wheel base made this impractical. It ended up as a beach buggy and it is to some rejuvenated or wealthy surfer that you need to sell it to to get your money back.Advertise it in some surfing mag and perhaps you will make some profit.Who knows because it's an iconic market for that vehicle.I wouldn't want it for 1000 but there are some with money who might give you 12,000 but you will need to search hard to find them in this current economic climate.
