MM do you have to fast for 12 hours with the 3 hour glucose?

I didn't get any weird or lengthy, complicated instructions before I had to take the three hour GTT. I just had to fast for 8 hours and that was it. I believe you are fine though! I dont see the point in going on a special dietfor days beforehnd because it would mess withthe way your body handles glucose on a regular basis, but every doctor has different reasonings for it I guess. My suggestion is to bring plenty of entertainment and a snack for afterwards. They say it's only three hours, but for me it ended up taking over five hours!
