Dont use a magnet, if you find the chip it could damage it or wipe it. If you cant find the chip you will need to get another key and get it programed to the car, you may also be able to get the ECU unlocked by sending it away, this essentialy removes the chip and code system for the ecu. Im pretty sure you can only get the codes from a dealer. so that would be expensive. You could try typing BBA REMAN is the yahoo search engine and calling them up for options and prices
